Stark Raving Mad from Texas were an unusual "trashcore" band which played this music before the term was even coined.You could also call this ultrafast hardcore.Whatever,fuck categories!I only make a difference between good and bad music.Subjectivitiy in full affect here.
You get 15 short burst of early 80's hardcore in the purest form when listening to this piece of music.
Negative FX/Neon Christ/Hated Youth/D.R.I. or M.D.C. come to mind.
The band formed from the ashes of Pissed Youth and recorded 2 albums in the short time span of 2 years.
This here is their selftitled (also called MX 12") album.
It was brought to life by Slob Records in 1984.
The singer soemehow sounds snotty and "nerdy". Looking at some old fotos he reminds me of Milo from the Descendents.His lyrics deal with pretty normal punk issues like hating the army or Ronald Reagan.Look at the cover.Reminds me of the Cold War/Star Wars time in the 80's.
